Scannell Properties Logisitcs Warehouse Project EIR

FCS prepared the EIR, Cultural Resource Assessment, and Noise Study for the Scannell Properties Project in the Bay Area. This innovative project has laid the groundwork for future logistics projects, through its proactive commitment to the use of electric vehicles and a scheduled transition to a zero-emission fleet. The project also incorporates a Transportation Demand Management Plan to reduce air quality emissions in the disproportionately impacted North Richmond community. The applicant is setting a new standard for logistics warehouses through its phasing to green development, with an accelerated schedule starting in 2021 and ending in 2027. The project goes beyond what is required in the California Building Code concerning installing preferential and clean air vehicle parking and EV charging infrastructure, as well as a nonresidential rooftop solar system and a commitment to pursue carbon-free electricity service if on-site renewables do not meet the full electricity demand.
