Tree Inventory Report for 2940 Alum Rock Avenue Project, City of San José

FirstCarbon Solutions (FCS), an ADEC Innovation, completed a Tree Inventory Report for trees located at the site of a proposed affordable housing project in the City of San José, in Santa Clara County, California.

FCS conducted a field survey of the 3.4-acre proposed project site and an Off-site Improvement Area. FCS assessed the trees within the project site using a basic Arborist assessment procedure and ground inspection. The assessment included a detailed visual inspection of each tree from the ground along with an inspection of the surrounding site.

An FCS ISA-Certified Arborist completed the following:

  • Identification of tree species within the project site and measurements of each trunk diameter.
  • Tagging of each tree for the purpose of identification.
  • Identification of trees that are protected or contain a special status within the City.
  • Assessment of project-related impacts on trees based on applicant-provided site plans.
  • Evalutation of tree removal or preservation based on construction impacts.
  • Preparation of a Tree Inventory Map that showed the location of trees by their tag number.

The completed Tree Inventory Report comprised of survey methodology, tree species, tree locations within the Study Area, as well as tree dimensions and protection recommendations.
